I am in a coffee shop outside my home country learning a new language and I suddenly thought of writing but I too lazy to get my journal so I tried writing on a notepad in my laptop. And then I remembered I have an online blog somewhere in the net. Walahhh! I saw this. I know I didn't publish my posts. I just kept them as drafts like an online dairy and I began to read my last draft dated November 4, 2013. I started crying in a coffee shop. HAHA! So I'm writing this to my 23 year old self. One line.
I am so proud of you.
I am dumbfounded how confused I was at 23 trying to fit at the same time trying to do what I want. I was so young. I feel so awesome breaking free all of the things that was restraining me. Let me share with you a few lines I read from my point of view thirteen years ago.
"I have been struggling with my career path for the last 3 years. For 3 years, I had 3 employers. I am currently employed to my 3rd employer. Oh well. But I don't wanna stop there. The world is too big to be contented and stop here in whatever I may have today. So maybe I am ambitious."
Slow clap for being too ambitious! Girl, you are amazing! You did went out from the norm and build a life you always wanted. You've been through a lot, like seriously adult lot situations and you always come out stronger than your old self.
I am literally brimming with pride reading my old unpublished blogs. I was reminded and humbled by my old self. That was one wild of reality how lucky I am right now and how I should keep going. Thank you self for being too ambitious. Thank you for never giving up and always adapting and moving forward no matter what. I can stop saying this but I'm so proud of you.
Now my next challenge, make my older self even prouder. Challenge accepted!
